Alletorge of the Cave People: Contemporary Music & Poetry Against Climate Injustice
This Earth Day, upcoming double bassist Torge Goderstad and his sextet Alletorge of The Cave People present Contemporary Music and Poetry Against Climate Injustice! Contemporary improvised music and poetry as well as set design and sounds natural and unnatural will be used to portray the narrative of climate change to audience members in a direct and stimulating manner. There is a suggested donation of 10 dollars, with 1/4th of the proceeds being donated to the Fund for Wild Nature, an organization which helps fund small grassroots organizations that work to protect the environment and sustain biodiversity.

Also being presented will be a shorter composition about submarine disasters that will blend film, a sea shanty arranged in the jazz idiom, and quotes from survivors into the musical landscape.
