East Third Street is Officially Named
"Reverend Pedro Pietri Way"...
on the very first day of National Poetry Month, 2006!
Nuyoricans in all shape and sizes showed up, reading poetry to Pedro, remembering his genius and crativity, making music and celebrating our New York City community! Right after the street sign unveiling and the poetic thoughts from his friends on stage, the clouds overhead darkened & it began to rain briefly...a sure sign that Pedro was still up to his tricks! We love you Reverend Poet!
