| Well Folks...It was as I promised, an historical evening of jazz, poetry, songs, people having a great time and all that puddin'. Special shout outs to a top notch production team: Cortez "Ski" Mc Kay, Raul Maldonaldo, Hakim Kamak Ank-Ra (Happy Earthday!!!) on Video cameras, Greg Bufford on sound, Julio Dalmau, our house manager and Okaru Lovelace for being the only one who volunteered to help a brother trying to do a thousand things. Looking over the footage and listening to the sound, I think we have top notch DVD in the makings of a historical jazz happening..... With vocalist like Dwight West, Annette St. John, Okaru Lovelace, La Re and others it made for an excellent blend of voices. Hey guys there's a new kid on the block, watch out for Linda Oh .... The girl is bad on the Bass.... Linda will be playing for me at High Chai on Thursday. The evening was made marvtastic by having marvelous fantastic musicians in the house: Eric Frazier and his Quintet for the first part and Patience Higgins and his Quartet for the second part .It was wonderful seeing so many of my sponsors out last night: Selma from 4W Circle.com, Tony Spiller (reading a poem from his book, Scalding Hearts), John D. Smith, Christopher Hall (bass),Shanelle Jenkins (trumpet), and Edwin Briscoe (drums) of The Youngbloods' Jazz Jam @ NAMA", Eric Frazier of EricFrazierMusic.com (Conga/vocals), Santo Mollica of SourceUnlted.com (Percussions) and Fredrick Levore (Vocals)....I beg you, please support these sponsors. They aren't just wonderful sponsors, but they are wonderful artists and supportive of a brother and I, in return am totally supportive of them..... That's the way it works!
