Lovely to hear music filled with so much love! So many jazz greats in one eveningwith banana puddin to bootits been the merriest Christmas and portends to be a fabulous New Year! A Blessed event indeed! A place hidden from time, forever jammin a night that makes it worth being alive; jazz Banana Pudding, great! Rhythm is smooth, and the flow sounds like gold! Banana stripped to see the stringy bits that get stuck in my teeth How can I smoke you away with a joint? In the maze of life, love blooms in the air. But, when the spliff heaps its last ash, Its life that gets the last laugh. And you remain lost in the maze This has been the most different year I have ever lived. Ive had the pleasure of experiencing some of the best things life had to offer. This place was one of them. I have never seen a few of jazz. But tonite it spoke to my soul My soul spoke wonders and showed me beauty when I finally decided to listen and behold God, my Father, one and only when I listened spiritually with the spirit that with which He created and the being, this body which I have found satisfaction in that He created and molded from His very own, Down to the taste buds which love and savour banana puddin; on a sweet and wintery Banana Puddin nite. The soft mellow yellow so gushy and sweet fulfills my hearts melody and desire to breathe comfort and life into the spaces and places that lack air. The rhythm gave me gas. As the sweet taste of this soft, creamy, banana pudding slides off my spoon and caresses my tongue And the soulful melodic melodies of the band engulf my ears, I am reminded of a time when I did not know jazz, did not know poetry, did not know the sweet serenity of closing my eyes and letting the spirit of the moment move me, the words of the verse soothe me, the notes of the music woo me. I am reminded of a time when I didnt know how to live. Cija Bob bobbin and bowin, swingin, and soulin, deep in the dark depths of Black Orpheus slidin, sudden up to the unbearable light. The most exciting experience of Live Music is indeed a pleasure that is enjoyed around the world. Im honored to be here for this one. A True Joy swinging like a flowing wind all around everywhere. Speak wonders, oh God of merciful, God of the just, God of heart Speak wonders, when you allow love to eat, love to wean the late in the dark Freedom to be, Freedom to see, Freedom just to be in a state of its all O.K. Freedom is o.k. Freedom is as free as you make it. Rome and Bertha and Cunningham all want to jam. Make the music no one can forget. What is it, freedom? Is it wide or full or high? Or is it the light we see when we close our eyes and dream of what can be if we could allow our souls to be free? Bringing the house down with Cynthia Scott down/up/all around & jumping with all of it. To Nuyorican on this wonderful day in the year of our Lord 2005 I wish you the best. Ive seen how much the Café has grown, keep it up. The harmony in the Café is great. Rome, youve gotten much better. Keep it up too. May 2006 be the beginning of something great.
