WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT "SCALDING HEART":

"Cyber space, heart and intelligence; Spiller’s book explores humanity in all its loose and startling passions. Scalding Heart reads like the road map of experience. It scolds and soothes. Here is a new American Voice for the ages."
– Miguel Algarin

"Carlton Spiller is still in the vineyards of his own realized revelation. His is a poetry still picking away at the detritus of the moment, its beauty as the act and the abrupt completion of his own mind . . . But there is a sometimes awesome near understanding of his own being, independent of the subjective disguise of daily American boobery. For this we say, you got it going, now stretch it out!"
– Amiri Baraka
